On November 24, the National Labor Model and Advanced Workers Commendation Conference was grandly held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, President of the State, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended the conference and delivered an important speech, congratulating the national labor models and advanced workers on behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, and extending sincere greetings to the working class and the broad masses of laborers in our country who have made outstanding contributions to reform, opening up, and socialist modernization.

Chen Liang, the deputy team leader of the processing center at Wuxi Weiyan Co., Ltd., was awarded the title of "National Labor Model" in 2020 and went to Beijing to receive the award as one of the representatives of industrial workers from many small and medium-sized enterprises.

Labor Model Deeds

Chen Liang, born in 1984, is the deputy team leader of the processing center at Wuxi Weiyan Co., Ltd. He has previously received the "Wuxi City May Day Labor Medal".

He has also been awarded titles such as "Chief Technician of Jiangsu Province", "National Level Skill Master Studio Leader", "Most Beautiful Worker in the Country", and "National May Day Labor Medal". After graduating from Jiangsu Information Vocational and Technical College in 2002, he became an apprentice at Wuxi Weiyan Co., Ltd. and worked diligently in rough processing for five years. Due to his proactive attitude and research skills, Chen Liang was transferred to the high-speed processing center team in 2007, where he boldly experimented with composite processing techniques using tools and precision grinding wheels, completing the trial production and mass production of key products.

In 2014, Weiyan collaborated with Tsinghua University to jointly develop a special processing machine for micro-holes with international advanced levels. Chen Liang utilized his technical expertise to complete the process shaping and machining of key components of the equipment's spindle mechanism without any reference experience, contributing to the equipment's shaping and mass production. This type of equipment was recognized as the first set of equipment in Jiangsu Province and won the first prize of the "China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award", with a cumulative output value exceeding 100 million yuan.

On the eve of going to Beijing, Chen Derong, a member of the Wuxi Municipal Committee, Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, and Director of the Labor Model Evaluation Committee, attended the farewell meeting and gave a speech: hoping that the advanced labor models cherish their honor, continue to work hard, and make new and greater contributions to creating a new situation for high-quality development in Wuxi and opening up a new realm for building a "strong, rich, beautiful, and high" new Wuxi.
