CNC electrical discharge machining (EDM) machines are not suitable for operation in dirty and high-temperature humid environments. The power supply environment also has high requirements; the machine's supply voltage should not deviate more than ±10%, and the three phases should be balanced and stable. If the power grid is too harsh, a voltage stabilizer must be installed. In addition to regular cleaning and lubrication, the following parts of the machine must also be carefully maintained:

CNC electric discharge machining machines are not suitable for operation in dirty and high-temperature humid environments. The power supply environment also has high requirements; the machine's power supply voltage should not be worse than ±10%, and the three phases should be balanced and stable. If the power grid is too harsh, a voltage stabilizer must be installed. In addition to regular cleanliness and lubrication, the machine must be carefully maintained in the following areas:

The guide rails and lead screws of the CNC electric discharge machining machine must not be contaminated with dirty water and debris. If they do get dirty, they should be wiped clean with a clean cotton cloth and then lightly coated with degreased cotton soaked in 10# machine oil.

The connecting cable between the control cabinet of the CNC electric discharge machining machine and the machine should have a cover or plastic board for protection in the dragging part. It should not be stepped on casually, and the cable should be in a relaxed and free state. It should not be pulled by external force, the cable plug should not be stressed, and the cable corrugated sheath should not be crushed or flattened.

When moving the control cabinet of the CNC electric discharge machining machine, it should be handled gently. Do not plug or touch connectors or keyboards with oily hands.

No part of the surface of the CNC electric discharge machining machine should be struck or collided with, especially to avoid interference between the column and the workbench due to over-travel movements, as this can severely damage machine parts or precision.

Regularly check to ensure that the conductive parts of the CNC electric discharge machining machine are in good conductive and insulated condition with the bed. The pads on the workbench must be insulated from the bed, the motor's drag line should be in a free state, and the motor must ensure that no dirty water enters.
