The Chinese CNC wire cutting machine tool industry is set to develop towards high performance and intelligence.
Electrical discharge wire cutting technology, commonly referred to as "wire cutting," primarily utilizes electrode wires made of materials such as molybdenum wire and tungsten-molybdenum wire as tool electrodes. Driven by a pulse power supply, this process creates a spark discharge phenomenon between the tool electrode and the workpiece. This spark channel instantaneously releases a large amount of heat, sufficient to cause the surface of the workpiece to melt or even vaporize. The CNC wire cutting machine can leverage the precise movement of XY and UV tables to move the electrode wire along a predetermined trajectory, thereby achieving fine processing of the workpiece. Similar to electrical discharge forming processing, CNC electrical discharge wire cutting also directly utilizes electrical and thermal energy to process the workpiece. It can effectively address various conductive material issues that conventional cutting methods cannot handle, such as high hardness, high brittleness, high toughness, and high thermal sensitivity in metals or semiconductor materials. The CNC electrical discharge wire cutting machine mainly consists of a wire feeding mechanism, worktable, liquid supply system, pulse power supply, and control system. Based on the wire feeding speed, it can be divided into two main categories: medium-high speed wire feeding and low-speed wire feeding.

Reasons for Inaccurate Dimensions in Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) Machines
The size of the spark position in an electrical discharge machining (EDM) machine is mainly influenced by factors such as discharge parameters, the conductivity of the electrode and workpiece, the type of electrolyte, viscosity, fluidity, and so on. Therefore, even if the electrode is made precisely, there can still be a few micrometers of error in the spark position.

Common Issues and Troubleshooting Methods for Electric Discharge Machining (EDM) Machines Controlled by Stepper Motors
How to choose the power supply for the drive of an electrical discharge machining (EDM) machine tool. First, determine the supply voltage for the drive, and then determine the operating current. The power supply current is generally based on the output phase current I of the drive. If a linear power supply is used, the power supply current can generally be taken as 1.1 to 1.3 times I; if a switching power supply is used, the power supply current can generally be taken as 1.5 to 2.0 times I.
